Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This extension is designed to help you send selected text, and only when you choose, a screenshot of the currently visible webpage, to the AI service you have configured (such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, Groq, OpenRouter, or another provider you select) in order to generate an answer. The extension only processes information when you actively use it by selecting text or clicking its features. Your API key is stored securely using Chrome's storage system and is used only to authenticate requests to your chosen AI provider. The extension does not collect, sell, rent, share, or store your personal information, browsing history, selected text, screenshots, AI responses, or API key on our own servers because we do not operate any servers that receive your data. All selected text and optional screenshots are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you have chosen and are handled according to that provider's own privacy policy and terms of service. The extension requests only the permissions necessary to provide its features, such as reading selected text, displaying results, capturing an optional screenshot when requested, storing your settings locally, and communicating with the AI service you configure. You remain in full control of your data and may stop using the extension, remove your API key, or uninstall the extension at any time. By using this extension, you acknowledge that any information you choose to send to a third-party AI provider will be processed by that provider under its own privacy practices, and we encourage you not to submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information unless you are comfortable doing so.
